Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment for an estimate?
Although we prefer you schedule an appointment to provide the highest level of customer service when you arrive, an appointment is not mandatory. You’re welcome to stop by during our regular business hours for a free estimate.
Can I choose where my car is repaired?
Yes, absolutely! State law gives you the right to choose your repair facility. Even if your insurance company recommends a specific shop, it’s your vehicle, and you have the right to choose where it’s repaired. We work with all major insurance companies to make the process as smooth as possible.
Will you work directly with my insurance company?
Yes! We attempt to handle all the paperwork and communication with your insurance provider so you don’t have to. Our goal is to make the process stress-free from start to finish. Get us a claim number, and we will do our best to handle the rest.
How long will my repair take?
Repair times vary depending on the extent of the damage and parts availability. We’ll give you an estimated completion date when you drop off your vehicle and keep you updated throughout the process.
What kind of parts do you use?
If money and insurance weren’t factors, we would always prefer to use brand-new OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts—those made by your vehicle’s original manufacturer. However, most insurance policies are written to only cover the most cost-effective repair option, which may include OEM, LKQ (Like Kind and Quality used parts), or Aftermarket parts.
We do our best to utilize these alternative parts as requested by most insurance companies, but we’re also are not afraid to push back and fight the insurance for our customers if there is a fit or quality issue with the parts they require. Ultimately, we want to ensure we provide quality repairs and will only use these alternative parts if they meet our quality standard.
What’s the difference between OEM, Aftermarket, and LKQ parts?
- OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer): Parts made by the same company that built your vehicle. These are identical to the parts originally installed at the factory.
- Aftermarket (AM): New parts made by third-party manufacturers. Quality can range from excellent to fair depending on the brand, but reputable shops like ours only use certified, high-quality options that meet or exceed OEM standards.
- LKQ (Like Kind and Quality): Used OEM parts sourced from another vehicle of the same make and model. These are genuine factory parts but previously installed on another car.
Example:
If your vehicle needs new brakes, OEM would be like buying them directly from the dealership, Aftermarket would be like buying a high-quality set from NAPA or AutoZone.
